Parents' reasons for choosing a Waldorf school for their children's compulsory education

The Bachelor's thesis on "Parents' reasons for choosing a Waldorf school method for their children's primary education" is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the history of alternative education with special emphasis on the classical reform schools and presents their individual concepts. Waldorf education is discussed separately, introducing its history and the first Waldorf school, teaching philosophy, the basics of anthroposophy and the basic principles of its practical function. The practical part is conceived as qualitative research in the form of interviews with selected parents of Waldorf pupils from one particular Waldorf primary school. The aim of the research is to learn about selected parents' individual reasons for placing their children in this particular Waldorf primary school and to understand these reasons in relation to their unique life context. The thesis concludes with a new understanding of the Waldorf school as a useful impulse in the education system and a way of a kind approach in educative practice that can be easily embraced by the general public.
Comparison of access to education and teaching civic education at standard primary school and Waldorf school

Bachelor thesis Comparison of access to education and teaching of civic education at ordinary primary and Waldorf schools presents the concept of the subject of civic education and a view of the concepts of Waldorf education and primary schools. In the theoretical part, the subject of civic education is presented and the concept of primary education and the concept of Waldorf school are further discussed in detail. The practical part will be devoted to the comparative teaching of civic education at primary and Waldorf schools. The aim will be to find out whether there are differences not only in teaching, but also, for example, in the preparation of teachers for lessons, in the environment in which teaching normally takes place or in the method of assessment. In addition, in teaching materials or in teachers' relationships with pupils. All this will be examined from the perspective of the teachers questioned.
Default methods for drawing forms in Waldorf pedagogy

The bachelor thesis deals with Waldorf pedagogy and its specific subject of forms drawing. The aim of this work is firstly to gain theoretical knowledge and, secondly, their application to the pedagogy of leisure time, then to proces selected methods into metodological handouts for leisure activities focused on artistic activity. In the theoretical part, the author works with professional literature. The first chapter presents Waldorf pedagogy regarding its goals and principles for the physical, spiritual and mental development. It raises from developmental stages of the child in the second seven years according to Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf education. It also describes leisure time activities and education associated to this pedagogy. It characterizes a specific subject of eurythmy, which is part of the subject of drawing forms. The last part is devoted to drawing forms. The theoretical part also contains a reactions of Waldorf pedagogy. The practical part raises from the theoretical knowledge. The structure of the educational proces is guided by methodological sheets. In methodical sheets, the author uses a drawn form, drawing with crayons and wax blocks, modeling. The first part of the implementation of the didactic project took place in the "Svobodná Primary School" in Písek with the fourth grade pupils. The second part was applied in the activities of the hobby group in DDM Strakonice. The practical part includes evaluation and selfreflection. At the end of the work, the author summarizes personal experiences with Waldorf pedagogy. She acknowledges the use of the alternative educational principle with regard to the broadening of the pedagogue's point of view and the actual practice itself. However, she draws attention to the need for sufficient experience gained at the Waldorf seminars and a deeper personal insight into the issue.
Educational envinronment of Waldorf preschool in Prague with its philosophical starting point

This exploratory case study is focused on the educational environment and the school climate in one particular Waldorf preschool in Prague. Emphasis of the research was oriented towards the original philosophical basis of Rudolf Steiner, who invented Waldorf education in the early 20th century. The goal of this study was to underpin the specific environment and point out the way, in which the principles of Steiner education are demonstrated in the environment. Within the qualitative research method I have created complex questionnaires for two groups of respondents: parents and teachers. In the creation of the questionnaires I have utilized my own experience form the environment and my knowledge of Waldorf theory and theory of climate. The questionnaires have created a template with predefined codes. After the respondents answered the questionnaires, the codes than got their unique characterizations. The output of this study is a defined elementary hypothesis about functioning and affecting of the environment and the climate from the viewpoint of the two groups of respondents. This diploma thesis presents monographic study that deals with the autonomy of schools in the context of the idea of the Waldorf School and philosophical convictions of its founder Rudolf Steiner. The content itself brings a particular identification, analysis and description of the basic principles of Steiner's ideas of Social Threefolding. For better grip and insights into this topic in the introductory chapters with the concept of autonomy as the general context, and given directly to the school autonomy. Waldorf school systém and teacher education for waldorf kindergarten in Czech republic

This thesis deals with the system of schools in Waldorf and the education of Waldorf kindergarten teachers in the Czech republic. The theoretical part is focused on the personality of Rudolf Steiner and his philosophy, followed by the formation and spread of Waldorf-type schools in the Czech republic. Next, it is focused on the Association of Waldorf schools and the Association of Waldofrn kindergartens, which support the education of Waldorf teachers. An element of the theoretical part is also an analysis of the education of teachers for Waldorf kindergartens. The goal of the practical part is to determine the continuity of each individual grade of education of Waldorf schools in the Czech Republic, and a focus on research, whose goal is to find out the continuity of the individual grades of education of Waldorf schools in the Czech Republic.The next part is dedicated to an analysis of the 'School educational programs' of selected Waldorf kindergartens and their comparison thereafter. The influence of antroposophy on the Czech art of the beginning of the 20th century.

Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy, influenced many sectors of human activity, including art, by his super-sensory research. The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of his spiritual science mainly on painting. It also includes a spiritual theme that has been a source of inspiration for the early stage of abstraction. Then, on two selected Czech artists, it explores how specifically anthroposophy was reflected in their work.
